Ben Aketil Wind Farm just outside Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye has been operational since 2007.

As technology has developed over the years we are now proposing to replace the existing 12 turbines with up to five larger, more modern turbines and extend the site to the south with up to a further four turbines.

This would bring the installed capacity of the wind farm to around 59.4MW, helping to meet Scotland’s targets for reducing it emissions of greenhouse gases and powering the country with clean, green energy.
